NDIS Price Guide for STA (2025–26)

Understand how Short Term Accommodation is priced under the NDIS — line items, ratios, weekday and weekend rates, and what's included in a single daily price.

How STA pricing works

Short Term Accommodation (STA) is a bundled NDIS support. One daily price covers accommodation, personal care, food and agreed activities for the length of the stay — so you plan one number, not a dozen.

The price varies with the support ratio (1:1, 1:2 or 1:3) and the day of the week (weekday, Saturday, Sunday or public holiday). All rates follow the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits.

Support ratios

1:1 support

One support worker dedicated to one participant. Suited to higher support needs or bespoke stays.

1:2 support

One worker supporting two participants who choose to share a stay — often friends or peers.

1:3 support

One worker supporting three participants — a lower per-person rate for shared group stays.

Weekday vs weekend rates

Weekday

Standard Monday–Friday rate for STA including support.

Saturday

Higher rate reflecting weekend penalty loadings for support staff.

Sunday

Higher again than Saturday, in line with NDIS Pricing Arrangements.

Public holiday

Highest rate — applied on gazetted public holidays in the state of the stay.

Where to find the exact price limits
